Peapod Glass Ornament

The pea can be traced back to 48 BC in Egypt. Thomas Jefferson introduced English peas to the United States and grew them on his estate. The peapod protects the delicate peas inside and is usually discarded, except for the more delicate snow pea, which is a staple in Chinese cuisine.
