According to the yearly Census, Texas has the fastest-growing population in the nation. And one of the first things all those transplants talk about is how hot it gets here in the Summer. It's paradise to us natives, because we know the secret — and it's not sitting inside in the air conditioning wishing the Summer was over. Our get-out-of-jail-free card is whatever ocean, lake, river, spring, or swimming hole we can cannonball into (preferably from a rope swing) and escape the quadruple-digit days.
